Active members of the NEMS Network are municipal staff from municipalities in all six New England states whose work supports or drives some aspect of sustainability.

NEMS Network communities represent a diversified group characterized by a range of population and geographic location, as well as area, population density, poverty rate, unemployment rate, median age, and median income.
